On the death of Pulleyn, Deconson surrendered his lease (see 1529) on the Greenhow-Mongo Gill area. It was re-leased in this year to Ingram Clifford, for a term of 30 years. This man had also leased ‘some of Bolton Priory’s Appletreewick Mines.

Sir Richard Gresham bought Fountains Abbey and its Nidderdale Estates.
