1527
Forest tenants accused Fountains and Bolton, among other things, of sinking several shafts within the forest boundary on Greenhow.
The Crown ordered an investigation, and the Abbot was instructed not to mine in the area concerned, and the jury of the Honour of Knaresborough Court was told to stop levying fines on the Abbot until the matter was settled.
